TWO SYSTEM SIZES. ONE EXPORT STRATEGY.

What could Telesolar bring you?

Explore two plant sizes in Plovdiv with the same example prices: Standard with 15 kWp and one battery; Pro with 30 kWp and nine batteries. Batteries are already installed; we calculate the payback of the management system only.

01 / STANDARD · PLAN M

One battery. Export at a better time.

One existing 16 kWh battery with an assumed 15 kWh of usable evening exports. Standard follows the price and controls exports through the inverter; battery charging is preconfigured in the inverter itself.

15 kWp · 1 inverter · 1 battery · 15 kWh usable energy

Climate-based generation estimate 20,528 kWh per year

Adjust the example prices to match your contract.

Without export management

Generation is exported during the day. The existing battery does not shift exports to the evening.

Assumptions and method
  • One 16 kWh battery with an assumed 15 kWh of usable evening export energy. At 90% round-trip efficiency, this requires 16.67 kWh of solar energy.
  • Standard controls exports according to price. Charging and discharging are preconfigured in the inverter; plan M does not include BMS monitoring or smart battery management.

02 / PRO · PLAN XL

30 kWp. Nine batteries. More possibilities.

A Pro controller and plan XL for 30 kWp of solar and nine existing batteries with 135 kWh of usable energy in total. This example assumes one 30 kW inverter. Smart control and BMS monitoring are included.

30 kWp · 1 inverter, 30 kW · 9 batteries · 135 kWh usable energy

Climate-based generation estimate 41,056 kWh per year

Direct exports —Evening battery exports —Storage losses —

Actually directed to batteries: — of generation, with a target of up to 90%; evening exports are lower due to losses

Assumptions and method
  • Nine existing batteries with an assumed total of 135 kWh usable export energy.
  • In this example, charging is limited to 30 kW × 4 hours = 120 kWh of solar energy per day. At 90% efficiency, this means up to 108 kWh of evening exports, despite 135 kWh of usable capacity; solar yield can limit this further.
  • Plan XL includes all nine batteries. The financial effect is calculated from the energy shifted at the entered prices.
Discuss the numbers for your plant ↗
Shared assumptions and sources

All Telesolar prices include VAT. Revenues are before taxes; market prices and deductions follow the entered scenario.

  • Up to 90% of daily generation is directed to the batteries, with 90% round-trip efficiency.
  • The model uses an average day for each month: a maximum of one cycle per day, a 15 kW inverter for Standard and an assumed 30 kW inverter for Pro, with separate four-hour charging and discharging windows. No grid charging or self-consumption is included. The monthly estimate is not an hourly simulation and may overestimate utilization in variable weather.
  • Energy is shifted only when the price difference covers losses and the wear allowance. Otherwise, it is exported directly; the subscription remains a cost and there may be no payback.
  • Generation is a PVGIS-SARAH3 climate-based estimate (2005–2023) for Plovdiv: 15 and 30 kWp respectively, south-facing, 35° tilt and 14% PV system losses. It is not measured generation from a specific plant.
  • The comparison is against direct exports, not an already optimized or fixed evening schedule. It includes the entered deductions, subscription and wear allowance. Other plant costs are excluded.
  • The five-year calculation assumes a constant annual effect and deducts the one-time cost once. Actual prices, weather, constraints and ageing can change the result.

Market context: average baseload price for 2025: 106.90 €/MWh. This average is not an hourly solar capture price and is not used as the daytime or evening price in the examples.

GOOD TO KNOW BEFORE YOU START

Your questions, answered directly.

What is EMS control for a PV plant?

PV stands for photovoltaic. An energy management system (EMS) collects measurements from inverters and batteries and controls exports according to selected prices, power limits and schedules. Telesolar connects this software to a controller at your site.

Can a PV plant stop exporting automatically at negative prices?

Plan S stops exports to the grid below a set price threshold. M adds market price following. This limits exports in unfavourable intervals according to your site rules and electricity purchase terms.

What is the day-ahead market?

It is the electricity market for the following day. In Bulgaria, IBEX publishes its results. Longer planning horizons also use forecasts, which are updated as new prices become available.

Do you support EV chargers, heat pumps and other integrations?

Yes. With Pro, we develop custom integrations for your site.

Can I combine different inverters?

Yes. The controller coordinates different models, including compatible parallel configurations.

How do the plans manage batteries?

M can work in an installation with batteries, without monitoring or smart battery control. L includes smart control, monitoring and diagnostics for up to 3 batteries, XL for up to 9, and Pro has no limit. From L, you can see charge levels, cell voltages, temperatures, deltas and detailed charts using real BMS data.

How do you plan for today and the next 3 days?

M includes a basic export schedule. L combines consumption, the previous day’s battery charge and a 3-day solar forecast for up to 2 strings, 2 tilts and 2 orientations. XL expands this to 4 of each, while Pro offers unlimited configurations and panel-level forecasting.

What does peak shaving mean in Telesolar?

Here, the term refers to peak exports above a chosen electricity market price, within the set power limits and rules. Reducing peak grid demand is a separate function agreed for each project.

When does history start accumulating?

From activation and data collection. S retains 1 month, M 12 months, L 24 months, XL 5 years, and Pro offers unlimited history.

Which plans include apps and watch access?

Android and iOS apps are included from M upwards, with Apple Watch / Wear OS access from L upwards.

Do I need to log in to access plant data?

Yes. The public website contains only product information and illustrative examples. The dashboard, its files and plant data require a valid customer login.

How does installation work?

We install a compact 3–8 module enclosure, configure the service and provide training. Standard for S/M costs €100 for equipment + €200 for installation, setup and training — €300 in total. Pro for L/XL/Pro costs €300 + €400 — €700 in total. Until 31 December 2027, Standard is 50% off at €150 and Pro is 30% off at €490. All prices include VAT.

How are multiple inverters billed?

The monthly subscription for the first inverter and each additional inverter is: S — €3 + €1.50; M — €6 + €3; L — €12 + €6; XL — €24 + €12. There is no inverter count limit or monthly price cap. Pro is quoted individually. The calculator shows monthly and total costs including VAT.

Can the grid operator receive telemetry and regulate the plant?

Yes. With Pro, we offer real-time telemetry and dispatch control using IEC 60870-5-104. The integration follows the operator’s technical specification.

Can we check energy export reports?

With Pro, we offer import and analysis of reports from the grid operator or electricity buyer. We compare periods, quantities and prices with Telesolar measurements and highlight differences.
